According to the original report from Defence Web theprimary
pay load is no longer usable.

Later in the news bulletin Rob Olivier from SunSpace says
that “radio transmissions still operate, making it useful to radio operators
around the world, including in the US, Europe and Australia”

There could be hope for us yet!

May be someone from Amsat-SA can clarify the status of the
Ham Radio pay load.
