Well,

I finely got everything done HTX 202 programmed for uplink (three element
yagi) and UV5R for the downlink (seven element yagi). Got the antennas on
the right heading or about and set the Elevation by my best guess. With my
compass I figured out that the bird will pass right to left.

So in about 31 minutes SO-50 will make a pass. The goal was to make sure my
radio are programmed right and see if I can hear the bird. If I do I post a
sound bite if not well I let up know I did not hear the bird and have to
figure out what I did wrong. I figure get good at hearing the bird for a
few passes then I try to make a contact. Hearing the bird is half the
battle.
