Hi Luc, VE2DWE
Here in Italy many satellite users have alrady dismantled their satellite
antennas after AO40 died and leaved off to pay their AMSAT membership.
Because of the long waiting my AO40 antenna that you can see in QRZ.com
is becoming rusty and I am considering to replace it with a 5 meter dish for
1296 MHz EME
I come the the same conclusion NO HEO no more AMSAT-NA members, and no
more sustainable amateur satellite mass operators.
BTW I pull for P3-E or a GTO satellite from AMSAT-DL as you can read in the
official following document:
http://www.southgatearc.org/news/september2012/amsat_dl_statement.htm
73" and take care
