Hi Erich

Thanks for responding on your holiday. Here is where I am. Up graded to 12.8b Used celltrack/nasa.all. If I select the older sats like ISS or AO-7 work just find. When I select TechEdSat or the newer sats the program throws errors. The program start to update the Doppler but start errors . What do you suggest next?

Hello Nick,

with program version 12.8b or the test version 12.8c run the tool DataBackup (located in the SatPC32 program folder) to restore your data and get the program running again. Then update your Keps files, best with the "Update Keps" feature in menu "Satellites". Download "nasa.all" and/or the Celestrak files you want to use with the different satellite groups (menu Satellites). Also check the option "Use Amsat names if available" in menu Satellites > Sat Names (default setting). The program will run with these Celestrak files and display the Amsat satellite names of most of the satellites.

The Celestrak files are updated every day (as far as I know). So, the "Update Keps" function is a comfortable way to get fresh Keps, I think.

If you want to use Space Track files directly download them with the TLE Retriever 3 and convert them to Celestrak files that can be used by SatPC32. The TLE Retriever will store the generated Celetrak files in a data folder "My TLEs". To use the files navigate to that folder (SatPC32 menu File > Open) and select a file.

When you have configured the program for your equipment you should save the settings with DataBackup.

We are on vacation until Aug. 24.

Nick,

Space Track has a new format, but my SatPC32 downloads from CelesTrak, which
uses the same file format as always. I just updated all the files, and
there were no problems. You could try the NASA.ALL file, which has been
unchanged for years.

If you could give a list of the error messages, it would help.

I believe Space Track has a new format on the data . When I load the new
data into satpc 32 it throws errors and the only to shut satpc 32 down is
via a 3 finger solute. Does anyone on the list have a resolution.

Thanks
