Gaston's announcement is posted on the AMSAT-NA web under the title,
"Update on HamTV on ISS". For a direct link to the article see:

which may help with receiving HAMTV.

Bill Ress, N6GHZ has provided an excellent article, Low Cost DVB-S
Receivers Suitable For HAMTV Reception, in the November/December issue
of the AMSAT Journal. There is a link on the web page (above) where
you may find a copy of this article.

Bill discusses the DVB-S boxes he tested. He includes a short
description of the RF front-end you'll need.

If so, that should be a project that could show AOS/LOS , power levels
etc, even if it's a black screen being sent: after all, it's RF.

maybe this has been thought about before? But I could use my converted
blue lnb...
