Hi Mike,

I bought the 30.00 arduino uno at my local RS store and built this:
http://blog.radioartisan.com/yaesu-rotator-computer-serial-interface/

I'm not a programmer but it wasn't hard to edit the software source
code for the right features. I'll share my copy if you go this way.

The display was an additional 15.00

It works really well. Needs no mods to the rotor whatsoever. Glad to chat
about it with you.

Thanks,
Mike

Btw You'll also need 4 resistors and 4 general purpose NPN transistors a
project box to contain it, and the 8 pin DIN connector to fit the back of
the yaesu control box. I had all of this on hand.
