[amsat-bb] On-line Coverage of Messenger Crash into Mercury Today

Venera 7 soft landed, sort of, chute failed and it fell over, on Venus.  The Russians never sent a spacecraft to Mercury, that I can find a reference to. The US Mariner 10 did a flyby in 1974 but as far as I can tell Messenger will be the first to land, or crash, on Mercury.
