The other way is to operate split and spread the callers away from your frequency...that's what they are doing on 10...the ops walk around the band picking out calls that are in the clear. Of course you would have to maintain a stable xmit frequency for him/her to find you to confirm but if the calling op is operating full duplex it would be most efficient.
