The logging issues can be dealt with later on. They always clean up
the logs after the expeditions. The team is likely using N1MM in
expedition mode on the island for most of their QSOs (based on what I
can see of the laptop screens and videos of past expeditions with
members of this crew), but if I had to guess, probably just typed out
the satellite QSOs and emailed them to the chief pilot for
incorporation into the ClubLog log.
You won't need to send a QSL card. You can just request one via OQRS
(which will be activated at that ClubLog link after the expedition)
and include an extra contribution with the payment for the card via
PayPal.
I donated before the expedition when I heard they were bringing
satellite gear and sent an additional contribution yesterday after
they were successful making some satellite QSOs.
