[amsat-bb] Fox-1A/AO-85 transponder to remain on to 0000Z 10Oct

Drew, Quick question regarding the 67.hz tone.. Should I program a channel
with the tone at 435.170 or 435.180? It would seem that at AOS the bird will
hear it better at .170 vs. .180. 

Am I over thinking this

We will leave the transponder running until about 0000Z 10Oct. Feel free to
try it. 

A couple of notes: 

If the downlink isn't on, a few seconds of 67 Hz tone will turn it on.

 

Narrow FM may help with the downlink audio levels if you find it difficult
to hear. 

 

You may find it takes a little more gain on the uplink than expected. I
encourage users to try their handheld yagis, remember to twist for polarity,
listening full duplex to peak your uplink.

 

During this time, the low speed data will still be active alongside your
voice downlink, so ground stations are encouraged to continue submitting
that to the server.
