[amsat-bb] InstantTrack on Win10?

Half a dozen responses to what I thought was an arcane question... the general consensus on how to run InstantTrack on WIN10 is through DOSbox. So, over about 10 minutes, I downloaded and installed DOSbox, put InstantTrack in it and fired it up. Works perfectly. Even runs the map screens. Cool!
Thanks to all!

Ed,
What you're seeing is probably related to InstantTrack
predating Windows 95, being a program that goes back to
the MS-DOS days. You may want to install something
like DOSBOX on your Windows 10 PC, and run IT under
DOSBOX. This may give the program the environment it
expects to see, instead of the more modern Windows 10
operating system that doesn't have support to run the
oldest DOS-style programs anymore. This may be especially
true for the newer PCs with 64-bit CPUs, something that
was only a dream in the DOS days. I think I still have
IT on my Win7 laptop at home, and I may try this on one
of my Win10 tablets this
weekend. Another item for the
radio to-do list... :-)
