Hello

A while back I had a Linux computer that would listen for the ISS then start sending beacons 

Trying to cut back on wildly transmitting all day and night

Has anyone used the raspberry Pi ? 

It lends itself nicely to such a beacon project 

Listen then beacon for ten minutes
