No (sorry).  I either read or heard about it many years ago, got a clear mental image of the concept from the description at the time, and that's all I remember.

It seemed like a really neat idea to me, and (if I recall correctly) it was an AMSAT innovation.

Come to think of it, maybe it wasn't intended for a P3 bird, but maybe for a planned geosynchronous satellite, instead.  As such, it may have never been put into practice.
