No wonder there is so much confusion in this regard - it's not clearly
spelled out what is and is not permitted as far as ham radio goes. It
looks to me like, if the captain authorizes it, you can bring your gear
on-board and operate it on-board. Carnival really needs to clarify all of
this with a specific written policy that states clearly what is and what is
not allowed and who's permissions are needed to do so!
