​Hi Sean!

Thanks for chiming in and confirming the interpretation of satellite
contacts are lumped together as a single band under the ARRL Field
Day rules. This is how I've treated them all along. Makes for some
extra work in submitting my reports to ARRL and AMSAT, but it isn't
impossible.

If other stations call me on an FM satellite after I've made my
points-earning QSO, I will work those other stations. I won't score
the extra QSOs, but I work those calling me since I could be their
first satellite QSO for the 100-point bonus. When I submit my Field
Day reports to ARRL and AMSAT, I specifically exclude these additional
QSOs from my scores. In over a decade working satellites during Field
Day, this hasn't been an issue for either competition. Same thing when
I work stations on more than one satellite for the ARRL Field Day
scoring - log the QSOs, but they don't go into the score.

Even up at 7000-7500' around Flagstaff AZ, temperatures are probably
going to be north of 90F tomorrow. I'll be somewhere up there, hoping
to find a good spot with some shade, an opening in the forest for
working satellites, and some luck to make a few satellite QSOs (plus
some propagation on HF and 6m, too). I might even go back to somewhere
on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, if all else fails...
