There is a document called "The Photographer's Right"
http://www.krages.com/ThePhotographersRight.pdf which I carry whenever
photographing in public places. Have never had to use it myself, but know
others who have, when hassled by over-zealous security at some buildings in
Chicago as well as the oil refinery in Joliet.
