[amsat-bb] Kenwood D74a

Has anyone paired a D74a with say a FT-817 to work the  linear birds 
portable? I'm thinking of picking one up to have the SSB receive 
capability(or visa versa). I remember years ago trying this with a TH-F6A 
and was really disappointed in the wwiiddddeee receiver performance. Is the 
D74a able to rx a 3k wide sig properly? Just trying to make sure before I 
pull the trigger...
