Mike,

I don't have a TS-2k, but it does have a separate RX input. At least one person mentioned using it with a separate RX converter on SO-50 which gets around the internal birdie. Probably not a cost effective solution unless you happen to have one laying around.

As for a new Kenwood, I have been asking them that for years, literally. The answer in the past has always been that it is under active consideration. Real Soon Now.

73s,

Alan

< Guess if this is a real birdie (internal beat frequency) I am up the creek,
<Since in the radio design cannot be changed. I heard Kenwood might be
<releasing a new satellite rig at Dayton next year. Any rumors out there? So
<think I answered my question and the TS-2000 cannot be used for SO-50 TNX
