Es’HailSat is a Qatari satellite. They donated space and power on their
satellite. That’s worth millions of dollars.

No one else has donated that to the amateur radio community. We wish they
would, but it seems we’ll need to raise millions of dollars to do it over
the Western Hemisphere.

Keep in mind that total donations worldwide for Phase 3D were around $4
million. That was collected over more than a decade and worldwide. The
amateur community has shown no ability to raise the millions of dollars
necessary for a Phase 3 or Phase 4 satellite.
