Yes sir, but it works just slightly differently.

There are actually a couple of "virtual audio cable" software packages.  The 
one I use can be downloaded from:

... and after install, in any piece of software you use you'll have some 
additional audio device options beyond just your "real" speaker output & mic 
input.

So, a common use would work like this:  in an app that OUTPUTS audio (like 
your SDR software), you set the output audio device to be the "IN" virtual 
audio cable.

On some other piece of software that is looking to take in audio (SSTV, 
FoxTelem, etc.), you set the audio INPUT device to be the "OUT" port from 
the virtual audio cable.

It's harder to say than it is to do.  If it helps, sketch it out on paper. 
The "virtual audio cable" is just the link between one program and another.

Using a mechanism like that works much better than using any of your actual 
sound devices since it's a closed pipe from one end to the other.

utility that will run under Windows?
