Hi Tom,
My PSTRitator works great with my FT-847. I noticed I have different Omni-rig settings than you.  You might plug in my numbers and see if that helps.....
Rig Type— FT-847PST
Port-Com 3
Baud Rate- 9600
Data bits- 8
Parity- none
Stop bits- 1
RTS- High
DTR— High
Poll int ms —500
Timeout ms — 400
