[amsat-bb] Mast Mounted GaAsFET low noise preamps

A friend forwarded a recent post regarding preamps. I noticed that the data
on the one study was from 2010. It also didn’t mention two very fine
preamps -those made by SSB Electronics and the extraordinary 2meter preamp
made by WA2ODO that many EME operators use. They post the lowest noise
levels and highest gains I’ve ever seen, but they do not have relays so
they cannot pass rf and relays are therefore required. They are also
inexpensive.
