[amsat-bb] Roving questions

Remember that any grid boundary can be questioned by the ARRL. Yes, a very good idea to use your smartphone and an app that gives lat/long and take a screen shot. If you have a standalone gps, take a picture. Just a CYA. As srated, AMSAT is an honor system and in the 20+ years I have been doing awards I never had to question someone about a contact. I have asked for some logs for field day but that is a different animal.

As Paul says, it's on the honor system. However, it is not a bad protocol to take a picture of yourself or your location with the GPS location-stamping enabled in your phone camera. There was a time when I went to a relatively exotic location on a cruise ship and operated from the land ashore of the boat. A picture settled arguments between the suspicious and the pedantic for Satellite DXCC credit for that operation.
