[amsat-bb] FM07 possibility this evening

Hello grid chasers,

I am taking the wife on a drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway today towards Roanoke. I am aware that a few folks on the West Coast are in need of grid FM07, so I will be taking along my sat gear and attempting to make the FO-29 mid continent pass at 0124z. (evening of July 12th local, which is July 13th UTC) I will try below the middle of the pass band, unless there is QRM, etc. and then I will move above. Hopefully, things will be favorable.I may also try some XW birds or even the earlier eastern FO-29, but all will be subject to the whims of the wife and how events transpire. =^)

Unfortunately, there is no convenient FM pass around that time... there is an SO-50 pass several hours earlier, but I read that there are some construction delays on the parkway (one lane sections) near Roanoke and I have my doubts that we will make it in time. If we do, I will try to get on. As for an FM pass afterwards, this is just a day trip and can't stay too late, we will be after midnight getting home as it is. I hope the FM only gangwill forgive me and overlook it. This is just the luck of the timing fitting in a pass or two on a day trip with the wifey... I hope everyone understands.
