I never would have considered a preamp with the Baofeng. But it's an
interesting concept.

Comparing my 2AT to the UV5RA is like comparing night to day. Even with a
simple dipole mocked up with a BNC to Banana Post adaptor, most passes are
solid with little fading or drop outs. Coupled with my HTX404 and a pair of
Lindys should make for a really good station.
