Devin,

You did not say whether you can hear others on the FM satellites.  If you
can, here is one way to help figure out if your issue is tone.  On AO-85,
91, and 92 best practice is to use a 67Hz tone, but in reality, as long as
you can hear others, you don't need a tone.  The tone prevents the repeater
from timing out after a couple minutes, but in the meantime, it will still
repeat you without a tone.  So if you can NOT hear yourself, but can hear
others, tone is likely not the problem (on these specific birds--I don't
know about SO-50).
