Locally I've noticed a definite step upwards in noise level at 2 meters
starting at around 5:00 PM when neighbors return home from work and activate
various unknown to me appliances in their home. I can see it on the SDR
waterfall and also hear the increased noise ... without much change in
signal strength from AO-92.

The electrical noise seems to increase an additional 50% during Christmas
when the neighbors turn on their outdoor decorations.
