Very good point, Larry. Thanks for mentioning that.
Before I had a computer dedicated to linux-only, on numerous past projects
that required GNU Radio I used a bootable CD and it works great. Your base
operating system is untouched.
There are performance advantages to having linux installed on a dedicated
computer, but to learn what linux & GNU Radio is about, the bootable CD is
a great option.
