[amsat-bb] CW on a TS-2000

This may not seem like a satellite question, but it is.  When using the
paddle input for CW on a TS-2000 does the PTT light for the VFO you are
using turn red as though you had pressed the mike key?  Even on full
break-in (when I might expect it to blink in time with the code)?

It's satellite related because while I don't do CW, I built a little box to
send dit-dit-dit to get tuned in on a linear satellite, and while I get the
TS-2000's side tone in the earphone, I don't see the red light at all, and
have not really found it on another radio.
