[amsat-bb] Help with SatPC32 Labjack Yaesu 5500 rotator control

John,

Good suggestion, but "unfortunately" I already run it as an administrator. Bad security practice, but as you say, it can eliminate odd problems.

The Meltdown/Spectre patch has caused a noticeable performance hit on my machine, even though it is very capable. I am wondering if it may be causing a timing problem? Fortunately the problem only occurs every 2-3 days, but is annoying for unattended operation. SatPC32/Labjack have been running flawlessly for literally years.

Alan

<Alan and Nick,
<
<If you think it may be update related try the "Run as Administrator" option
<(right click on the desk top icon then <Run as Administrator>. This has been
<solving a number of issues for me lately, all related to Windows security
<changes to be in compliance with the new EU privacy laws. It is a long shot but
<it costs you nothing and if it doesn't fix the problem at least you have
<discovered one easy thing to do that didn't work.
