[amsat-bb] TS-2000 out of production??

Per HRO, it is history. There is not a new unit to be found.

This could be either very good or very bad news. I talked with the Kenwood
rep at the Huntsville Hamfest in August, and as always asked about a
replacement for the TS-2000. It is a sort of running joke between us. This
year, his reply was "3 years, at least." He explained that due to changes
in the commercial radio world that Kenwood was allocating all its
engineering resources there for the immediate future. It will be
interesting to see whether this is just a temporary production pause, a
multiyear lapse in that part of the market, a change in plans, or ???
