Hi,
set the CAT delay as low as possible (that means as necesary  for 
reliable CAT control). I control my IC-9700 via the CI-V port. Baudrate 
is 19200. A  CAT delay of 30 seems to be sufficient.
The interval for frequency updates for Doppler correction  can be 
specified in menu 'CAT'.
