[amsat-bb] ISS APRS Signal Quality?

I'm also having trouble working the ISS packet station, since it's been
turned back on. I'm kinda seeing that I can get in better when the ISS is at
a certain angle from me. I'm almost sure of this but have been busy
elsewhere, so I'm not around for all the passes to be certain. Maybe they'll
go back to the good antenna location, if they can...

It appears that after the system came back after being down for over a
month, that something changed.  I have been able to hit it with a Kenwood
TH-D72, but it was not easy.  The receive is a bit deaf, and the transmit is
very weak.  I tried last evening, but was unsuccessful.

I am wondering if some new antenna systems are being tested.  It was a
similar situation with the SSTV event over the weekend, then it came back
full strength.  I am certain that after the testing is complete (if that is
what is going on) things will be strong and great again.  The A.R.I.S.S.
Team is very good and is always working hard with the ISS crew members to
keep the systems in tip top shape.
