First satellite contact was in 2001 with XE1MEX on FO-29. Worked a few 
stations on F0-29, AO-14 and AO-27 that year but 6 was wide open and I 
stayed there most of the time. Had an Icom-901 but used it mostly for 
working 432/144 tropo. Never did really figure out how to use the 
satellite mode on the 901. Love today's software. I did work AL7QY on 
AO-14 in 2001 before going permanently back to uhf/vhf/6 meters. Lost my 
tower and suffering withdrawal pains from from lack of qso's, I picked 
up a pair of Baofeng toys, rebuilt the Arrow and the Bird Disease 
attacked with a vengeance!
