I made my first "new" sat contact yesterday after more than 20 years.

K7YDL and I met up on XW-2B at about 1630 local. I was so shocked that
someone answered my call that I forgot to give my grid and first name!
Talk about tongue-tied. Thanks, Greg.

The last time I was on the sats, I used my ICOM IC-W32A and an Arrow
antenna from my deck in Fairbanks, AK (BP64). And with printed keps. I
was WL7CQX then.

This time, it's now an ICOM IC-9700 with M2 2M and 70CM CP antennas with
polarity switching, a G-5500 rotor system with a Fox Delta ST2-0417 USB
controller , and SatPC32. from Greenacres, WA (DN17). Now, I've got my
father's callsign, W7OTJ (sk). He was first licensed in 1952.

I'm still learning about the IC-9700 but OH MY, it's sweet.

Bob W7OTJ
