It'd be even cooler if future satellite firmware announced the upcoming 
schedule and/or active mode in CW (or PSK31, etc.) on the beacon frequency.

Seems like a waste to have an orbiting bulletin-board-like-system which 
is immune to Internet outages and not use it...
