[amsat-bb] what is a good contact?

AMSATers...

I'll say it again, "A contact is made when you fulfill whatever criteria you (or an event sponsor) agree it is.  Do so honorably (like playing golf)."

This topic *will* come up periodically because we all feel that we all must agree.  We do not.

For example: some people believe that machine decoding does not constitute a "real" QSO, so they do not use the JT-modes.  However...they are happy to engage in a PSK31 or RTTY QSO...where the machine does real-time decoding for them.

You get the idea.

Please, re-read the first paragraph and find your peace with it.

Cause you didn't hear it live as it happened, so then how the heck did you
call the other Op by the correct call? since you didn't know the call till
after the pass?
