[amsat-bb] Helping a totally blind ham get started working the birds?

I have a few suggestions that might help you get started, but it would be
helpful to have a little more info about yourself. What kind of station do
you have or plan to use? HT? Base station? Do you have a rotor already?

As for the minimum level needed to get into satellites, it does not take
much at all. I have made successful contacts over multiple FM birds using
just my 5W handheld Yaesu radio with a $15 quarter-wave whip
antenna attached and no other hardware. All that was needed was the
knowledge of when to go out and what uplink/downlink frequencies to tune my
radio to.
