use way more than 0.5w.

As someone who has an IC-9700, I do not suffer desene with mode J (and
don't use the BLP on my setup).  I'm betting those who do have J-Mode
issuses have 1 of 2 problems  1) higher SWR or 2) running to much power.


As I stated in a previous e-mail:
I have to say I'm not getting desense with my IC-9700,  unless I'm using
more power than is needed or should be using on the SSB Sats.

Maybe try to lower your power? RS-44 can easily be worked at around 2% (2w)
power and I work SO-50 at 0-3% every time (500mw-3w)
