If it works, awesome! Problem solved.
I tend to trust the data the designer publishes first. After all, they
know the limit of the components they use.
I would be concerned that any heat generated by the RF power would change
the specs of the components used and that may result in more attenuation
and may change the design specs. That could also result in higher SWR
values.
If I had one, I would sweep it to make sure it still works as it should.
Maybe someone who has a tracking generator has done that already.
There is a big difference between 0.5 watts and 25 watts.
500mwatts is about 14 V P-P and 25 watts is 100 V P-P
