Yes, I had similar tuning issues with the TS-2000 many years ago, but I believe I was able to change the rigs settings at the radio i.e., mode power etc.

That works most of the time. It would be nice if the CAT control didn't "lockup" the radio with the Doppler correction enabled.

As a general principle, when using the HRD suite, never touch the radio. To fine tune the uplink or pan the pass band, just use the sliders instead, HRD holds the correction until another frequency pair is selected.
