I am opposed to supporting a commercial product whose owner requires that
you allow them to take your content and do whatever they want with it. They
can also let other companies do whatever *they* want with it without
telling you. Thus I won't create a Twitter account. Make no mistake, by
merely creating an account, even if you don't use it, you are supporting
the company, since they make money based in part on how many user accounts
there are.
Fortunately, we have this BB, which is a more appropriate channel for a
non-profit and its members. But if you feel that you have to use Twitter,
note that you can view any user's feed without having to create your own
account. If you need notifications, you can use a service such as IFFTT.
Martin.
