Ah ha! The driver wasn't able to reserve enough bandwidth on the USB hub
for the 192 kb/s 16-bit "stereo" audio stream. Try moving it to another
USB port. Most computers have several USB hubs, and it's not obvious how
the various sockets connect to them. Try temporarily disconnecting any
other USB audio interfaces you might have.
