The very same question is also relevant for O.J. Simson and Karla Homolka are 
they really paying their dues? One thing is certain we cannot dissociate them 
from their acts. In each and every legal condemnation there is an element of 
"exemplary sentence" It is made on purpose to show the public what its not 
acceptable and that the society is not accepting that.

If it was not the case the court of law will be behind close doors. Just to 
remind you the military tribunal in Guantanamo...
