I'm in with 10w and some not fancy center loaded vertical...You just have to
pick your times though.
I think I did notice that once you are in, the repeater seems to "hold" your
signal but if you drop your carrier you probably won't be able to pick it up
right away.
Anyway...no complaints...it's a lot of fun here in New England.
