Wow, great visible pass, rising out of the north west, and going straight overhead before winking out. I couldn't see much in the way of structure, even with binoculars, but it was really bright.
I heard sstv, and had my PC running a live capture into QSSTV on my Linux box. The program decoded it as Robot36, but the picture is just a bunch of nearly horizontal colored stripes, like a TV set that is way out of sync. You can see that there was some text at the bottom, but it's illegible.
I used the same setup with Richard a few months ago, and got some beautiful pictures. What format was Charles using?
