[sarex] AMSAT Wants to Publish Your Amateur Satellite News and Projects

Hello Everyone,

This is a call for YOUR input about your amateur satellite
projects, achievements, and on-the-air activities. All news
is invited ... if you got something to work, an event is
planned or have a new idea for research other amateur satellite 
operators will want to know about it!

Since the AMSAT-BB serves best as a forum for questions and
and answers and last minute announcements we offer two addi-
tional venues for publication: 

1. ANS - AMSAT News Service
   + Are you or your club planning a satellite activity?
   + Perhaps testing a transponder via a balloon launch?
   + Your university just got approval for a CubeSat?
   + You just made a 7000 km contact via LEO?
   + You just got state #50 ... or VUCC?
   + Is there going to be a satellite demo at your next
     hamfest?
   + AMSAT Officers and volunteers are invited to send
     their team's latest news and all the good things
     going on within AMSAT.
   + Area Coordinators are invited to tell us how you
     are getting the word out.

   Short term news will be sent via the AMSAT News Service
   Weekly Bulletins (ANS list). To get your message into
   an ANS bulletin just send an e-mail with the information
   to ans-editor at amsat.org.

   The deadline for the weekly bulletins is by Thursday
   evening of each week.

   The ANS editors will do the formatting ... all you need
   to do is send your e-mail!

2. The AMSAT Journal
   This bi-monthly publication by AMSAT-NA is one of the
   primary benefits of AMSAT membership. This print edition
   includes text, graphics, and photographs.
   
   The Journal staff welcomes technical input about your:
   + Satellite Station design
   + Satellite antenna projects
   + Satellite operations ... decoded telemetry and data
     showing operational trends
   + The Journal is an excellent place to publish your
     University's cubesat design
   + AMSAT Officers and volunteers are invited to write
     detailed updates about projects and AMSAT plans and
     project status.

   For the AMSAT Journal we need your articles provided as
   either plain text or MS-Word format. You do not need to
   worry about magazine column formatting since this will be 
   done by our layout software prior to publication.

   Send photos and graphics as separate JPG files in as high
   resolution as you can save them in.

   Articles and items for the Journal are due by the 15th of
   the odd number months ... January, March, May, July, Sept-
   ember, November.

   Send your submissions to the AMSAT Journal to:
