It is a common social practice to pressure the "go getter" into
conformity when the majority of a group would otherwise look unproductive
by comparison. It as well had been the practice of the former Soviet
Union to praise a leader upon instalment, and to defame and ridicule such
leader upon removal from office. I thought those practices were out of
date until Frank Bauer's public defamation of Miles Mann.
