Hi
Although I didn't had oportunity to follow every pass today,
I have the strong feeling JP wasn't QRV as expected.
At least I didn't received any SSTV image :(
However at 1850z (1Aug) he called CQ on 145.985MHz. After
seconds of silence, I "found" him on 145.940Mhz. Again
silence, because he had moved to 145.850MHz, for a family qso!
Next pass's packet PMS was back on line (2024, 2200z).
But the good thing this weekend was the visible orbit's.
Friday it was so bright I thought I might catch it with a
video camera. So today I prepared all my stuff, and... I DID IT!
At 2128z I taped MIR passing over my QTH. It was fantastic!!!
(FYI I used a B/W survailance camera and an ordinary VCR)
It was so simple I almost didn't belive!!!
Why don't you give a try???
Have a nice week
