Mir News

Hi All Mir Fans,
For those following Mir activities, MSNBC is running a story which started
this morning. It can be found at:
		http://www.msnbc.com/news/299647.asp

As many of you know August 15, 1999 may be the last date for a possible
contact with the crew and the opportunity to receive SSTV pictures from the
Mir Space Station. MSNBC has listed the frequencies of the "Public Voice"
channels as well as the expected schedules for contacts with Mir including
SSTV. For those not having a tracking program, there is a listing for
NASA's Orbit Tracker which brings Mir's current position on your screen
without downloading any software.
Further, MSNBC has listed some very interesting URL's for Space Stories
and several Links, Sites and Media relating to Mir.. The ARRL Web also
listed here has a good history of Mir as well as Chris v. d. Berg's Mir
News page which has much very interesting current and past news regarding
the Mir Space Station.
Regards, Farrell winder, W8ZCF, Cincinnati, Ohio
